Our story

Brickyard Tavern & Barbecue was established in 2025 with a straightforward purpose: create a place where great food and a true neighborhood tavern could exist under one roof.

The restaurant is led by owners Paul Swimm and Rebecca Melick, together with culinary partner, Davey Rickenback. Their shared commitment to quality, community, and handcrafted barbecue shapes everything Brickyard does.

Our barbecue menu is centered on meats that demand patience: brisket, pulled pork, spare ribs, turkey breast, sausage, and wings. Each item is prepared with respect for the cooking process and served fresh from the smoker.

Inside the tavern, the atmosphere is warm, familiar, and unpretentious. Guests can enjoy appetizers, sandwiches, tavern favorites, cocktails, beer, and conversation in a space that has welcomed LaFayette residents for generations.

Brickyard may have a new name, but its role in the community is timeless. It is a place to gather after work, meet friends for lunch, bring the family for dinner, celebrate something special, or simply enjoy a good meal.
